Personal background
Louie Cohn

Louie started riding motorcycles in 1980 - he rode street bikes as well as dirt bikes.  10 years after getting on his first motorycle, he decided to give road racing a shot.

2006:  A return to racing!  Louie's new race bike:  a 2003 Yamaha R6 as well as riding Laura's FZR400/600 project.  Great results!  The "project bike" is a screaming success - should see podium in 2007 several times.  The R6 reminded Louie what 2 years away from racing will do for a body - 2007 promises to be better!

Laura Carpenter 2004:  Laura started riding motorcycles by taking the MSF class.  Soon after she was riding street bikes and when that wasn't enough, she decided to jump feet first into road racing for the 2004 season.  She converted her '94 FZR to a race bike and bought a VFR800 for the street.  After taking the Novice clinic, she was ready to take it to the track.  Unfortunately she sustained a broken foot that kept her benched for the season.

2005:   Laura started the season by doing track days.  Her confidence, smoothness, and track times improved but with a new house, the budget wasn't allowing any novice racing. She rode Pacific Raceways in Kent, Spokane Raceway Park in Spokane, and Las Vegas International Speedway in Las Vegas.

2006: This year was a banner year - novice racing, track riding, and even an expert race mixed in! Best finishes: 13th in Novice and 4th in Expert!
