Here's what we'd like the final project to look like roughly.

here's how the stock seat mounts - the bracket needs to stay to hold gas tank down but we might not use the stock seat.

Another shot of the seat bracket - we're probably not going to use the stock seat though.   This shows the tabs and how they slid under the bracket

how the sub frame mounts to the frame, the shock mounting cross tube, and the 2 lower braces on the sub frame

Shows the complete sub frame mounted to the frame.  the lower braces need to mount farther forward to the upper braces since we're proposing shortening it

The sub frame can be narrower: past the gas tank mounting points - overall about an inch narrower.  (unless you're up for building a custom gas tank)

shock mounting eyelet which is on plane with the lower rear mounting point of the sub frame, this tab doesn't need to be here anymore and can be eliminated

rear sub frame mounted to the frame - the big bracing triangles can go away, we shouldn't need them

comparing the sub frame we're sending - cut off where the riv nut is on the stock one - it needs to be about an inch longer than the one we're sending

just showing the way the stock seat mounts but we shouldn't' need the cross bar
