New bike arrives: 1997 GSXR 600
This bike comes to us via Craigslist - someone tried to make a race bike back into a street bike but got frustrated with some of the minor issues.
Their loss was our gain. This will give the Pappawheelies team 2 bikes to grid for TFS - a class that needs a few more riders to keep it alive
The tear down on this bike was started before the "welcome to our garage" pictures could be taken
This bike came to us with lots of crucial race bits already included - someone's spent a lot of time an money on this gem..
Race prep begins!
frame and swing arm painted - starting the reassembly - almost bike like on the lift
look faster from this view?
Look - getting ready for the engine
Sure hope we remember what goes where - race season is right around the corner!
Organization is key with multiple bikes torn down at once - this chould be a great season with a little hard work!
Einey Meeny Miney Moe...thank Goodness Louie is a meticulous genius when it comes to bike building.
More parts to make the bike even faster - Look out TFS!!
no motor but the body work is ready!!
it's starting to come together - beginning to look like a race bike and less like the field bike it started off as!
Just another angle - there's a little something missing...the motor is ready to be hung - stay tuned!
